Are crashed LGVs now too much of a hassle since 1824 patch?
I started leveling a new frame (recluse) on Friday, the day the 1824 patch came out. That patch included a change for crashed LGVs.
Crashed LGV updates:
- The defend timer has been reduced to 90 seconds.
- More enemies will be attracted to crashed LGVs so be on your guard!
- The Crashed LGV encounter will now scale the amount of enemies based on the amount of players defending.
Prior to patch I had done Crashed Thumpers and LGVs whenever I came across them because they were decent XP, didn't take too long, and were soloable.
Since the patch, when I leveled into the late teens to early 20s, I've attempted 5 LGVs and failed all of them. Even though I'm usually the only person attempting it, it seems to spawn approximately 15-20 enemies, all with fully-automatic, can't-miss weapons, from all directions. Most of them focus fire on me, with the remaining few attacking the LGV. The result is that either they **** the LVG before the timer runs out or I die and then they **** the LVG. I died in 3 of the encounters, was rezzed after failing the event in 1 encounter, and ran away after the event failed in 1 encounter.
I've been attempting LGVs at my level and I'm using gear that is within +/- 2 levels of my current level. So I don't think it is that.
This is a new frame for me. I know Poison and AoE were nerfed in the patch as well, so it could be that is also affecting me. I try to lay down plenty of poison with the Bio Crossbow alt fire and then take out enemies with primary fire or secondary (usually AR). But I just can't **** that many enemies quick enough before they **** the LGV and/or me. I haven't had any issue soloing Bandit Camps. Maybe because those spawn in waves while the LGV seems to spawn enemies all at once.
Anyway, i was wondering if anyone else had noticed this, was having similar issues, or had any advice. These events are essentially leveling content to me because I prefer dynamic events to Job Boards. But it just seems like now LGVs just aren't worth the hassle
